The Mittagswiesn is the calm, affordable face of the Oktoberfest: on weekdays participating landlords, showmen and snack stalls draw visitors with reduced prices between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Participating businesses may offer discounts of up to 30 percent on food and drinks. You can spot them by the official Mittagswiesn logo at the stand or tent.

On weekdays in particular the Wiesn is noticeably emptier around midday — pleasant for anyone who is less keen on the big crowds or is out and about with children.
